Peter Fortune MP has attended and spoken at the 10 year milestone event for local charity Survivors of aBuse.
The event brought together survivor voices, civic leadership, national policy voices, research, practice, safeguarding, health, education, policing, the voluntary sector and community partners. The event marked ten years since Survivors Of aBuse was founded, and almost a decade of delivering the Breaking the Cycleâ„¢ programme: an accredited, trauma-informed, psychoeducational, whole-person programme supporting survivors to understand and begin rebuilding from the wider impact of abuse.
Speaking after the event Peter Fortune said: "It was a privilege to be invited to attend the Survivors of aBuse - 10-Year Milestone & Impact Event. The work that Chris and the team do is hugely important not only for people in Bromley and Biggin Hill, but also for people up and down the country.
"This event was not just a celebration of their work it was also an opportunity to pause, reflect, and look more closely at what work is still to be done."
