Peter Fortune secured the nomination today to be the Conservative candidate for Bexley and Bromley in next year’s London Assembly election.
Cllr Fortune, who currently serves as Deputy Leader of Bromley Council, pledged to be a strong voice for Bexley and Bromley if elected to City Hall in May 2021.
Cllr Fortune commented: “I am delighted and honoured to be selected as the Conservative London Assembly candidate for Bexley and Bromley.
“Next May’s election is an opportunity to get Bexley and Bromley a better deal from City Hall. For four long years, Sadiq Khan has failed to deliver for our communities and ignored the interests of outer London.
“If I am elected next May, I will stand up for Bexley and Bromley in City Hall and fight to get more police on our streets, keep both boroughs green and protect the unique character of our corner of Greater London.
“I look forward to campaigning to get Shaun Bailey elected as our Conservative Mayor and to earn the privilege to serve the people of Bexley and Bromley as their next Assembly Member.”
