Peter Fortune MP has today responded to an Urgent Question on children and social media in the House of Commons on behalf of His Majesty’s Most Loyal Opposition.
The Conservatives in opposition will welcome all measures to prevent under-16s from accessing harmful social media and that is why Kemi Badenoch has stood alongside parents and campaigners in calling for the Government to do more.
Speaking after the Urgent Question Peter said: "The Government have kicked the can down the road on children’s safety for too long.
"It is time they took responsibility and build on the foundations laid down by the Conservatives. The safety of our children should be paramount."
