During Department for Housing, Communities and Local Government Questions in Parliament, Peter Fortune MP asked the Housing Minister to recognise that the Government’s housing targets for the London borough of Bromley are both unfair and unachievable. Highlighting that the Government's connectivity tool classifies land proposed for development at Biggin Hill and Hayes Farm as equally well connected as the Greenwich peninsula.
Speaking after he raised the issue, Peter said: "I think the Minister’s response to me was slightly disingenuous.
"Yes, overall housing targets in Greater London are down 11%, but under the same figures Bromley sees a 105% increase in housing targets.
"This is what is placing our precious Green Belt under threat."
