In a debate today in Parliament on mobile connectivity in rural areas, Peter Fortune MP called on the Government to take a constructive and cross-party approach to resolving ongoing issues with mobile connectivity in rural areas.
Peter said: "The previous Conservative Government understood the importance of UK-wide mobile and broadband coverage to the public and to our economy. But despite the progress made up to this point, there are still some acute challenges.
"There is clearly cross-party agreement that we need to do more to ensure that rural areas have improved connectivity, and I hope that the Minister will engage constructively with all Members who have contributed to the debate in order to achieve this."
