Protecting children from online harms and tackling the impact of social media on their future is essential.
The Conservative Party has taken a clear view on this issue. The Government's role isn't to police speech or tell adults what to think, but it should draw, clear, enforceable lines to protect children. A simple age limit for social media does that. It protects kids properly and stops adults being treated like children.
In response to our campaign in Parliament, the Government has recently opened a consultation on introducing a legal age limit for social media.
